Systems for City / Shire Councils

Based on the positive feedback from Frankston and Port Phillip City Councils, it is clear that eBMS offer a very unique & affordable alternative for the creation of customised systems within City & Shire Councils.

Our technology enabled councils to automate and implement a tailored solution in a quick, affordable and easy way.

The key benefit expressed by our current council clients is eBMS’s ability to automate an existing process, while mixing in ‘best practice’ and keeping it familiar to the end users.  This has resulted in a much faster uptake and had a positive impact on the change management dynamics associated with assuring the success of these projects.

What type of systems?

eBMS offers council the opportunity to become better organised in relation to the following type of activities:

  • Contract & Supplier Management System
  • OHS & Incident System
  • Environmental Management System
  • Risk & Compliance Management System
  • Infringement Management System
  • HR Management Systems
  • ‘ Build your own Solution’ System
The key features of these systems include:

  • Automated Workflow,
  • BI Reporting (e.g. Dashboard & Charting Reports)
  • Automated Email Communication & Reminder
  • Clear Audit Trail
  • Flexible Integration

‘Build your own Solution’ System

This can be done for any part of your Council where you may have the need for more robust systems, greater transparency and rapid reporting.

The Contract Management System at Port Phillip City Council is also integrated with their financial system.  It can also be integrated with various other Financial Systems via the use of CSV files.

This capability helps with the old problem where many of these ‘silo applications’ are not talking to each other – our eBMS platform can easily be configured to talk to other systems.  The eBMS Platform is completely Web & Excel interfaced which offers the benefit to reach across locations and borders.

More on Integration

Bold as it may sound, we are capable of integrating with any system that has an external interface. When positioned on a server within a network, the eBMS platform can periodically call scripts and import data in csv format, or pulled directly from another system.

At the simplest level, there are two options for integration:
1) On a schedule we can automatically import a csv file containing data needing to be synchronized.
2) We can execute a script that can load data from another system, do any required transformations on the data, and then push it into the eBMS system (we can also do the reverse!)

An Affordable Investment

Our approach is to provide councils with options which will give councils better choice in order to fit budget requirements.  Our low-cost licence provides a low-risk strategy for new customers.  If you are concerned about investing in IT systems, a low-cost  licence is preferable to a high purchase cost on day one.

The following options include an example based on a project investment of $20,000.

100%: e.g. $20,000* 50%: e.g. $10,000* 0%: $0
$16.66 /user/month e.g. $69* /user /month e.g. $124 /user /month

All pricing is for a software as a service, hosted option. All pricing excludes GST.

* Project Cost is subject to project scope and may include a SLA fee. It could be paid over 3 monthly payments.
* By paying monthly by user, we amortized the project investment as a running expense and not as a 'capital expenditure'

With eBMS, you know from the start what your costs will be.
