In today’s competitive world all organisations are striving to maximise profits and reduce costs. Most successful companies will have a special improvement formula that keeps them ahead of the opposition or optimises performance or reduce wastage etc.
These companies have quite often undergone significant change to adapt to their new processes and to have all levels of staff understand the improvement culture. These changes can also reflect a desire by those companies to move forward in aggressive stages.
How eBMS can consolidate improvement initiatives through action management.
eBMS understands that any improvement system would not have been laid done when the new ERP or MRP system was introduced. The companies tend to use home grown
processes (quite often very advanced) to meet the improvement objectives.
eBMS can use the philosophies behind those original improvement techniques to automate them more effectively. Any data that is collected can be used to identify future initiatives and projects, but more importantly effect corrective actions that make immediate bottom-line impact.
eBMS is a web based process design, data capture and trend analysis system.
The process is straightforward. Any improvement process can be designed or replicated using the eBMS eForm designer.
Identify the process and build a list of improvement projects.
These can be searched and sorted or reviewed by tabular or graphical report. Performance parameters can be
analysed. Other information that could be relevant to the improvement project process can also be entered on an eForm. As any eForm can have its own level of corrective
action these new eForms or processes can be used to capture, interpret and then analyse the data.
The data can be reported and reviewed across the various projects, but have the ability to view comparatively. A simple Action Management form can be the base eForm and it can link across to any other process.
For example an item could be input for corrective action then linked to a Factory Performance or Quality Management eForm. This could incorporate projects, improvement types, cost savings, etc. As each field is unique it means that trend analysis can commence immediately, even within the existing production or process cycle.
Workflow can be easily enacted to ensure the right people make the right decisions at the right time. Any person within the operation can input data to ensure all relevant data is collected. |
